In the Ohio Valley, a mix of flurries and showers are forecast the week before the holiday. Rain showers are expected to transition to snow flurries in time for Christmas, the forecast said.
Overall, The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicted temperatures and precipitation will be below average in December, with averages of 38 degrees and 1.5 inches of precipitation forecasted.
It also forecasted a frigid winter this year, with snowfall greater than normal for the Ohio Valley.
